The Wonderful Word of Bath Soaks
by Ashley Krause
With self-care becoming an increasingly popular topic during the COVID-19 pandemic, so has creating your own luxury spa experience from home. Here are just a few bath soaks that will totally up your relaxation game:
- Coconut Milk- Add a splash of coconut milk to help nourish and hydrate your skin while you decompress in the bath. Let all your stress melt away as the aroma transports you to some tropical beach somewhere.
- Bath Oils- Using bath oils helps to keep your skin moisturized and supple, but for those with skin conditions, be sure to use products that do not contain fragrances or bubble bath solution.
- Oatmeal- Adding a sprinkle of oatmeal to warm water can help soothe dry, itchy skin related to skin conditions like Eczema, and it’s even a solid option for more severe irritations like hives, poison ivy, and sunburns.
- Aloe- You can’t go wrong with Aloe! It has hydrating, antibacterial, and acne-fighting properties, and hydrates your skin while locking in moisture at the same time.
- Bath Bombs- Bath bombs are a concentrated form of bubble bath that combine ingredients such as essential oils, cleansing agents, skin-softening agents, and moisturizers. Your inner child will run free as you experience the amazing colors, scents, and just plain fun of a bath bomb hitting the water!
But while all of these products make for a 10/10 bath experience, the build-up can leave for a headache to clean later on. But we’ve got the fix for that! Just toss in one capful of JetShine before you empty the bath to clean out the jetted tub’s air tube system, and the next time you bath- you won’t have to worry about any unwanted gunk.
